Bio

I have retired after 35 years in higher education. I was most recently the Director of Graduate Outreach and Admissions for the School for Graduate Studies at SUNY Empire State College. Empire State is a nontraditional, distributed college with multiple locations across New York and internationally.

My career focused on undergraduate and graduate enrollment management with a primary focus on post traditional learners and access to higher education. I've presented on topics such as: addressing the academic needs of the adult learner in online and hybrid programs, connecting expertise with graduate education, ethical issues in graduate enrollment management, nontraditional approaches to partnering and marketing graduate programs, and graduate credential development & implementation.

I have always had an interest in connecting with my peers and have held positions in several professional organizations including: Vice President and President of the State University of New York College Admissions Professionals (SUNYCAP); served on the Executive Board of NAGAP as chair of the Professional Development Committee (2008-12), the Chapters Committee (2012-14), the Education Committee (2016-18), and lead on the launch of the Leadership Academy. Most recently served as a member of the Education Committee and Experts Bureau.

I am proud to have been recognized for my service to SUNYCAP and NAGAP and have also received the State University of New York, Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
